Normandy now known for its coastline of varied beaches, white-chalk cliffs and traditional seaside resorts was once a scene of conflict and played a hugely significant role in 20th century history as the location for the D-Day landings in WW11. The region offers a wide variety of opportunities for visiting beach landing sites at Omaha Utah, the American, British and German cemeteries and a wide range of museums. A D-day themed visit based in Bayeux can be combined with the other attractions Normandy has to offer.
