Who are SJA Tours?

The School Journey Association, affectionately known as ‘The SJA’ was founded  in 1911.  As the UK’s pioneer organisation offering school journeys, we provide inclusive educational tours for all ages of pupils and size of school groups for both day trips and residential breaks both abroad and in the UK.

We have a proven successful history of providing enriching learning experiences to all children,  including those with learning or physical disabilities. We believe that every single child should be able to participate and gain the benefits from an educational school trip and as a registered charity, we can provide FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE to children from disadvantaged families.

SJA is run by volunteer teachers and head teachers and with our team of experienced Tour Consultants, we can ensure exciting journeys across Europe and the UK, each designed to interest all students and to extend the curriculum beyond the classroom.

Our highly trained Tour Consultants can support group leaders and trip organisers throughout every step of organising your school group travel experience. All schools who book educational trips with us will be sent a comprehensive informative group leader’s pack containing all the essential information and resources for successful school group travel. Also, one night’s accommodation can be arranged free of charge for the group leader to visit the destination in advance of the trip, to help you with your risk assessment before the trip takes place.
