HEALTH & SAFETY

The Government now supports the role of adventure as part of active education especially in learning to manage risk. Pupils may no longer take risks unknowingly but need to learn to manage them. Before this can happen, risk needs to be assessed by competent persons.

PLANNING YOUR SCHOOL TRIP

The School Journey Association believes that for efficient, safe and fun school group travel planning needs to be systematic, consistent and appropriate to the visit. We also know that good planning is the key to successful educational trips.

RISK ASSESSMENT

A major feature of planning successful school group travel relates to the risk assessment. The analysis used in risk assessment can help to highlight potential hazards and put in place appropriate controls.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

School Travel Insurance is obtainable directly from Zurich Municipal Insurance. Please contact Zurich Municipal for fully comprehensive cover for your trip on 01252 387945 or email [email protected].

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

If you feel that a child would benefit from being able to take part in a school journey that you are organising through us, but you are aware that the parents are reluctant to send the child because of their financial circumstances, it is possible that we may be able to help.
