YHA Adventures

The School Journey Association in conjunction with the YHA is pleased to offer new and exciting school trips to some of the best scenic locations in the UK.

Staying at YHA in anything from a Hogwarts-style castle to purpose-built modern centres, many offering educational and adventure packages, SJA is able to provide transport to and from your school to your chosen destinations. We can also combine visits to local places of interest and planning assistance from our friendly and experienced staff.

SJA offer financial assistance of up to 50% of the cost of a school trip, for pupils meeting our criteria. In addition YHA also offers assistance with its own Breaks for Kids fund. This is a charitable fund that provides financial support to disadvantaged children so that every child has the opportunity to experience a school trip. The fund can contribute up to 50% of the accommodation and food costs and gives hope to the third of children who would otherwise not have the opportunity to experience education outside the classroom. Applications will be considered by both SJA and YHA for funding for children who are entitled to free school meals or whose parents receive income support or housing benefit. This means every child has the chance of this unique life-changing experience.
